BLOOMINGTON HILL SOLAR 1, LLC AND BLOOMINGTON HILL SOLAR 2 LLC’S APPLICATION FOR A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY TO CONSTRUCT 2 CO-LOCATED SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC GENERATING FACILITIES TOTALING UP TO 9.9 MWAC IN GARRETT COUNTY, MARYLAND CASE NO. 9812

NOTICE OF INITIAL PUBLIC COMMENT HEARING 

An initial public comment hearing in the above-entitled matter is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., via virtual platform, concerning Bloomington Hill Solar 1, LLC and Bloomington Hill Solar 2 LLC’s application for a certificate of public convenience and necessity to construct two co-located solar photovoltaic generating facilities totaling up to 9.9 MWac in Garrett County, Maryland (“Projects”). The Projects are proposed as a community solar facility and is anticipated to occupy approximately 49 acres of a 72-acre property located along Bloomington Hill Road, with the entrance to the Projects being approximately 0.25 miles from the intersection of Bloomington Hill Rd and MD Route 135, Bloomington, MD and is identified as Map: 0070; Grid: 0008; Parcel: 0001 [ACCTID: 1204004329] in Garrett County, Maryland.

 The initial public comment hearing will be held virtually, begin with a presentation by the Applicant, followed by brief statements by the Department of Natural Resources, Power Plant Research Program (“PPRP”); and the Technical Staff of the Public Service Commission of Maryland (“Staff”) as to their respective roles in the case.

Scroll until you locate the entry for “9812-Bloomington Hill 1 and 2 (CPCN)” and take the following steps: click the box for “9812-Bloomington Hill 1 and 2 (CPCN)”; click on March 3, 2026; select 6:30 p.m. and click on “Next”; and enter your name and email address and click “Schedule Event.” You will receive a zoom link for the meeting once you have completed the sign-up process.
