Eric is Managing Director of TotalEnergies Distributed Generation USA and provides leadership across all three project phases – origination, execution and operations. In 2022, he led the spin-out of the former Commercial & Industrial team at SunPower to TotalEnergies, an owner focused on providing integrated power solutions to its customers.
Eric’s management approach is informed by his 15+ year tenure at SunPower during which he played an integral role in every aspect of the company’s commercial solutions business, including sales, finance, supply chain and operations.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University and obtained his Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
Nathan leads TotalEnergies’ team of sales executives, analysts, marketing and business development professionals focused on delivering behind-the-meter solar and battery storage solutions for the company’s Fortune 500 enterprise and public sector customers in the U.S.
Nathan manages all facets of project origination and development including marketing, business development, proposal generation, project design, contract negotiation and financing optimization.
Nathan and his team have lead or contributed to the development and contracting of more than 500MWs and $1B of project value for such notable customers as the University of California, the California State University System, the California Department of Water and Power, the United States Air Force, the United States Army, Disney, Sony, Verizon, Holcim and dozens of county, municipal, K-14, water agency and Fortune 500 customers.
Prior to joining TotalEnegies, he worked in the Public Finance group at Merrill Lynch, where he raised capital, provided financial advisory services and delivered capital market solutions to schools, general municipal and public power customers.
Nathan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Vassar College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
Marifel oversees financial operations and strategic planning, developing plans for growth to increase operating leverage and higher asset returns, management of accounting procedures and controls and provides leadership in building highly capable finance team to deliver results.
She brings 20 years of invaluable expertise in the solar renewable energy sector, and is passionate about driving financial strategies that foster sustainable growth and innovation.
Prior to joining TotalEnergies, she was the head of Corporate Finance for SunPower PV Manufacturing Operations and instrumental on spin off the business to now Maxeon Solar Technologies.
Marifel received her bachelor of science degree in accountancy and a CPA Certification from in the Philippines. She has also participated in executive programs at Stanford and Columbia business schools.
With over 15 years of experience, Rune has held key roles at various companies, including SPG Solar, an EPC firm, and Spear Point Energy, an IPP.
Most recently, he led the creation of a project finance team for a new business unit in the C&I segment at Qcells North America. Originally from Norway, he has lived and worked in several countries across three continents.
Rune holds a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from the University of Manchester, UK, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Fraser leads a team of HSE professionals dedicated to supporting the business and ensuring that our projects are delivered safely, while maintaining the health of our employees and contractors and minimizing impacts to the environment.
He draws upon thirty years of international experience leading highly complex and technically challenging projects in the Petrochemical, Construction, Water/Wastewater and Environmental Consultancy sectors.
He joined TotalEnergies in 2005 and held HSE and Project Management roles in the Marketing & Services and Refining & Chemicals divisions before joining the Renewables Division in 2023 as Head of HSE for Distributed Generation.
With extensive experience in driving safety culture and compliance across a diverse range of projects and sound knowledge of project management principles, Fraser leads strategic HSE initiatives to ensure operational excellence and regulatory alignment.
His leadership focuses on proactive risk management, continuous improvement of HSE performance, and fostering an inclusive, collaborative environment to instill a strong safety culture amongst employees and contractors that extends beyond compliance.
Fraser holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of East Anglia, UK. He is a member of the Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals (Practitioner), Project Management Institute and holds a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
Brian and his team of engineers, designers, specialists, and managers focus on developing the right technical solar and battery storage solution for TotalEnergies’ DG customers in the US. He leads technical teams through origination, development, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and operation. He oversees all procurement activities, quality standards, and processes needed for a successful project.
Over the past 15+ years in renewable energy, Brian has worked on hundreds of projects, from small commercial to utility scale in all major solar markets across the US. Having deep experience with a solutions mindset allows Brian leads his teams to move complex projects forward in an ever-changing industry.
Before joining TotalEnergies, Brian served in technical roles at Sunpower, Duke Energy Renewables and REC Solar, where he was accountable for accurate deliverables at various stages of sales, design, construction, and operation. As an engineering and surveying associate he designed several private developments and public infrastructure projects. Brian holds his bachelors degree in Civil Engineering at California Polytechnic State University, SLO and is a California licensed professional engineer.
Charles Sandschafer is the Director of Construction Project for TotalEnergies DG US, Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) department. Charles currently manages the PMs and CMs for the operations team throughout Southern California.
As part of his role, Charles is responsible for the delivery of over 40 MW across more than 100 sites in 2017 alone.
Prior to being operations manager for the Southwest region, Charles directly managed project development, design, construction, and close-out of photovoltaic systems. Prior to joining SunPower, he worked as a Structural Engineer, designing and retrofitting several buildings in the Bay Area and throughout California.
Charles is a licensed Civil Engineer in the state of California and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is also a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California (SEAONC).
He has managed commercial projects in both the private and public sectors. His project portfolio includes Porterville Unified School District (2.3 MW – 9 sites), University of California Riverside (3 MW), Castaic Lake Water Agency (3.5 MW), LA County – High Desert (2 MW), Western Municipal Water District (~1 MW), City of Oceanside Water District (1 MW), and J. Craig Venter Institute (~0.5 MW).
As Director of Project Management, Eric leads a team of project managers engaged in the execution of a wide range of commercial solar project types. This includes project management and construction management activities for East and National regions.
Eric joined TotalEnergies with a rich, experienced history of land development and project management that included the oversite of building entire facilities from the ground up (over 2.3 million square feet), expansions and remodels. He provides over 30 years of construction management expertise, working in complicated build situations across the public and private sector.
Eric has been with the team at TotalEnergies since 2010, leading the deployment of over 800 MW’s at 250 sites nationally. Previously, he was the Director of project development in the East Coast, overseeing all the site assessment, savings analysis, contract negotiation, and financing activities in the region. Prior to that, he was senior manager for Construction Projects at SunPower’s Hamilton, NJ office.
Alex leads the commercial asset management organization, managing a growing portfolio of solar and storage systems to optimize operational and financial performance while meeting contractual, regulatory and reporting obligations.
The asset management team serves as the central hub for all financial and commercial activities during the operational phase, interfacing internally across departments and externally with key stakeholders including financing partners and customers.
Prior to TotalEnergies, Alex worked in financial management and project finance roles at Revolve Solar, SunEdison, and the US Department of Energy.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and History from Connecticut College and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.
Scott oversees a diverse and talented team and is responsible for a technical asset management platform focused on optimizing operations– all with the goal of safely delivering system performance. Under his strategic and team-centric leadership, TotalEnergies has serviced over 700 projects and 500 MW with zero lost time accidents.
Scott was previously SunPower’s Senior Manager for Commissioning and Interconnection, responsible for the startup of all commercial projects.
Prior to joining SunPower, he worked for Acciona Windpower as the Commissioning and Quality Lead, where he led the energization of wind farms across North America with total generation capacity in excess of 1 GW.
Previously, he was a Field Service Engineer for Energy Maintenance Service where he built a strong base of electrical knowledge and gained valuable construction and O&M experience while learning the industry from the ground up.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University
Peizhi Yang leads the Community Solar origination and development team managing efforts from green field development to co-development partnerships.
Peizhi and her team manage all aspects of community solar development from market strategy, land campaign, permitting and interconnection strategy, financing structure optimization, and offtake negotiation; with a contribution of 1GW pipeline across various development stage and states.
Peizhi holds Bachelor of Science degree from Tianjin University, and Master of Environmental Management degree from Duke University.
Amit Shenoy is the Director of Strategy & Analytics for TotalEnergies’ U.S. Distributed Generation business, where he leads market strategy, long-term planning, and strategic business development.
He oversees the Analyst Development Program, mentoring a high-performing team that supports Origination and Development teams in evaluating solar and storage opportunities nationwide.
Working closely with Government Affairs, Amit translates state and federal policy developments into actionable growth strategies that strengthen the company’s market position.
