In 2021, Sealed Air pledged to reach net-zero carbon emissions from its operations by 2040. Undeniably, Sealed Air is not only a leader in the packaging industry, but also at the forefront of sustainable innovation.

Pairing Solar with Storage

After reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by more than 44 percent since 2012, Sealed Air has continued to expand its renewable energy initiatives by partnering with TotalEnergies to install a solar and storage system at its manufacturing facility in Madera, California.

As a leader in solar-plus-storage, TotalEnergies worked with Sealed Air to develop a 3.5 MW ground mount solar project paired with a 770 kW / 3,080 kWh battery storage system. The project is designed to produce over 7 GWh of energy per year and will help reduce Sealed Air’s energy spend annually.
